The dark lines on the carpet around the baseboards are called draft lines, which are caused by particles in the air being filtered by the carpet. Though we can usually lighten them, they are often impossible to remove completely.
Not all stains can be removed from carpet or upholstery. Some stains, either due to the time they have set or the substance that caused them, cannot be removed. Remember that just because the carpet or fabric is discolored does not mean that it isn’t clean.
Once your carpet has been cleaned, our technicians will place thin pads or blocks under your furniture. This prevents the furniture from staining the carpet while it is still damp. You can remove the pads within 2-3 hours after cleaning.
The carpet will remain damp for at least an hour, so please don’t place anything back on the carpet until it has dried thoroughly.
Slipcovers are best cleaned by regular machine washing or dry cleaning, depending on the type of fabric.
Odor from pet urine can be difficult to remove. If the odor returns after cleaning, the pad and/or subfloor is probably affected and will require removal of the pad and treatment of the subfloor.
If you have any area rugs that you would like cleaned, we encourage you to allow the technician to take them back to our warehouse for a thorough cleaning. The process cannot be performed over carpet or wood flooring due to the risk of bleeding and moisture damage to the floor. We would be happy to clean them and bring them back to your home at your convenience.

If you need to walk on the carpet immediately after the cleaning, our technician would be happy to provide traffic lane paper to protect your carpet while it dries.

Carpet Care Tips

Vacuuming

Almost 85% of the soil on a carpet is dry soil brought in by the soles of shoes. Dry soil is abrasive and can damage the carpet fibers causing accelerated wear. This soil is best removed by regular vacuuming. It is also important to monitor the soil level in the bag of your vacuum. Change it when it is half full.

Spot Removal

When removing spots, always apply a small amount and blot it with a clean white cloth. Next, rinse by wetting the cloth with water and blot it onto the spot. Repeat until the spot is gone. Always BLOT never RUB!

Entrance Mats

Using entrance mats inside and outside of doorways will reduce the amount of soil brought into your home.
