- Any mold found in the crawlspace is remediated with appropriate engineering controls and pressure differentials.
- Old insulation is removed from the floor above.
- Outside vents are sealed off with expanding foam.
- If needed, a sump pump is installed and drainage channels dug to direct water.
- Large rocks and debris are removed from the crawlspace.
- The Cleanspace liner is cut and brought into the crawlspace, unfolded and secured to the walls just below the sill plate.
- All edges are caulked with silicone and all seams are taped to create a true vapor barrier.
- New insulation is placed around the walls.
- If needed, ducting in the crawlspace is insulated as well.
- If needed, a permanent dehumidifier can be installed to condition the space, OR an HVAC company can be contracted to install registers and use the home’s HVAC system to regulate humidity.
