On September 11th, 2001, the first call made was to ServiceMaster of Washington DC to begin the cleanup of jet fuel, soot, debris and dust from the world’s largest office building – the Pentagon – in order that the military could safely return to work and do their jobs. Every surface had to be cleaned; from ceiling, walls, floors, and HVAC to desks, chairs, computers, cables, phones, books, pens, desk contents…you get the picture, everything . With the help of the ServiceMaster community nationwide and over 1,100 participants, the building was completed by November 11th – 2 short months. Our leadership in Commercial Large Loss was why we were the vendor of choice and we delivered.
